KFOR-Soldiers eat BRUNNER noodles.
At the beginning of December 2008, the Austrian KFOR soldiers were supplied with “hand-crimped” Carinthian noodles from BRUNNER for the fifth time this year via the Steiermark wholesale business Eurogast Nussbaumer. Austria has 600 soldiers stationed in the southern part of Kosovo.
Since 1999, the headquarters of the international Kosovo peacekeeping force KFOR has been in Pristina. Some 16,000 soldiers are directed, coordinated, and administered from the capital of Kosovo. The KFOR forces are charged with maintaining stability in the region and ensuring a safe environment and freedom of movement for the troops, but especially for the inhabitants of Kosovo.
To make their difficult task somewhat more pleasant for the Austrians, they are regularly supplied with high-quality delicacies from home.
